The maps below provide snapshots of Pepco's current outages due to damage to the system. Power outages can result from many causes including construction damage (contractors accidentally dig into power equipment), cars crashing into power poles and even animal damage. Therefore, there are frequently outages somewhere on the system, and this is reflected in the maps which automatically update every 30 minutes. You must refresh or reload your browser to retrieve the latest data.
